The Emerald Garrison
Warcraft Instance Information

The Garrison has a one team of equally brave and crazy raiders, doing normal and heroic content, two nights per week. This is the recap of their current progress.

Xavius kill

Nythendra hc Ursoc hc Elerethe hc

With little over a month of raiding The Garrison is currently 7/7N and 3/7HC. After relatively quick cleanup of normal modes where only last two bosses, Cenarius and Xavius, proved to be even remotely challenging, team focused on heroic content. With alternative gearing options available, ilvls were quickly raised and proper numbers started hitting the bosses, while said bosses started hitting the floor. First obviously was Nythendra which after some fine tuning of the strategy went down fast. Next step for the undergeared team was Ursoc, which proved to be a bit of a challenge with wipes hitting enrage timer but again after some changes the boss died in a nice controlled manner. Last kill for TG was Elerethe which proved to be a bit on the undertuned side with fresh kill happening on 5th pull.

While raiding is in full swing, we are always looking for new members willing to join our guild - if you are interested, check out recruitment post and get in touch.

The Garrison is recruiting! We, as always, are looking for mature players to fill in our ranks. We are equally interested in social and raiding candidates. If you are interested in joining us - head over to the recruitment part of our forum, read up on our guild charter and fill in our application form.

The Garrison is a guild with a long history going back all the way to vanilla WoW. We started as a part of The Older Gamers network under the name "The Old Garrison" on Dunemaul-EU, but as the guild grew we broke free from TOG and continued on as - "The Garrison".

Over time the Dunemaul-EU server started to dry out and in 2012 we migrated over to Aggramar-EU to become part of a more active server community. This is where we have remained since then and where we will continue our journey in Legion.
Our members are mature and as a rule we rarely let anyone in that is not 25 or older. Members have families and real life commitments which takes precedense over playing a game and we expect everyone to accept and understand that.
Since last summer the guild has been in a bit of a hibernation state, but we now working on getting the guild going again for Legion.

Our plans for Legion:
  • Weekly raiding 2 days a week. Usually lasting between 20-23 game time. Current goal is to beat the game content while it is relevant on the heroic difficulty.
  • Mythic dungeon runs most evenings.
  • Opportunities to level up and do world quests in guild groups.
  • PvP groups if we can get enough people interested in that.

What we want to offer you:
  • Welcoming guild for both veterans and inexperienced players.
  • A gaming experience where we help eachother reach our gaming goals - be it PvE or PvP.
  • A mature environment where all understand that real life commitments have priority over game activities.
  • A stable guild that has been around for a long time.
  • Guild leadership that just won't quit - guild is managed by oldschool vanilla players

What we are looking for:
  • Maturity - Above all else, members join to play with people like them. We are a mature guild and would expect everyone to behave as such.
  • Respect – We see a sign of maturity as respect for those in and out of the guild. This could mean dedication to playing your class to the best of your possibilities or saying “thanks” after a successful 5 man.
  • Assistance – A guild only works if everyone pulls together, so helping out other members at quests, gearing, advice and other matters is important. Remember that you get out what you put in!

The Summer Garrison

The summer is here for The Garrison. With all the heat pouring from the sky and the dreaded "real life" hitting our rosters, there have been few changes regarding The Most Awesome Raiding Teams (tm)

Roster merge! - no more we are divided. With less and less people being able to commit to a weekly raiding schedule, both teams decided to start joint raiding just in time for Hellfire Citadel to open. Newly formed The Garrison raiding team is still figuring roster but in the mean time, TG managed to get itself to 4/13 with no showing of stopping there.

Summer schedule! - currently we dialed down or raiding days to only raiding one day a week - Thursday. With Summer and BRF burnout, this is the time to recharge and take it a bit slower and so for now we are raiding on Thursdays only.

Recruitment! - with new raid instance opened and new team formed out of The Garrison raiders, we would very much like to welcome more people our roster - be it as a social member, a raider or one of them PvP people. If you are interested, just contact any member of TG or simply click this link

The Blackrock Garrison

Yet another big chunk of time passed since last update, but that should only mean The Garrison was crazy busy rather than slacking around. We had two teams progressing the new raid instance - the Blackrock Foundry.

Team Grumpy

Team Grumpy was steadily progressing with quick disposal of normal mode bosses, our Grumpy raiders turned towards heroic modes. With initial ones going down in first two resets, the harder encounters proved to be, well... harder. The pinnacle of this instance was definitely the combo of the two last bosses - Blast Furnace that proved to be the challenge previous bosses lacked in the place and most notably - Blackhand himself. While his normal mode version was rather simple in theory and execution, the mentioned execution on heroic mode proved to be much harder task. All in all after way too may wipes to count Team Grumpy defeated Blackhand and scored the set of ahead of the curve achievements.

Grumpy Blackhand

The Expendables

The Expendables - strengthened  by roster merge of two teams hit BRF hard and were progressing steadily through the instance. After a quick switch from normal to heroic the team picked up the pace and proceeded to clear the place of heroic bosses. Similar to Grumpies, Blast Furnace turned out to be a big challenge - yet nothing the old timers couldn't handle. Unfortunately Blackhand survived the tier for Expendables as summer came and team's roster was reduced due to summer breaks the raiders took.

All in all it was a very interesting start of the expansion for The Garrison. Who said we were old?
