As you are all no doubt aware, last night we took Onyxia down for the first time. Congratulations to everyone on their participation. We had a raid group of 34 people, and it was our 7th attempt at the big old bird. Both Phase 1 and Phase 2 were pretty flawless. Phase 3 started with a bit of Chaos, but Mace soon grabbed her attention and kept her parked in the corner with liberal use of Fear Ward and stance dancing. It was a team effort, so congratulations to the team! Also, I think a special note should go out to Serphentos from Revelations. He kindly joined the raid group to take us through tactics and strategies (making up the 34th member). He was pretty confident in our abilities to take Onyxia down, (and probably the ONLY person who was at the beginning of the evening!) It was amazing in Phase 3, when we were DPS'ing her, and someone was calling out the health percentages. I kept expecting all hell to break loose as someone stole aggro and she came rampaging around. However, it just didnt happen, and the call went out for 5%... 4%... Execute.. Execute.. FULL DPS... 2%. 1%.... then.... Well, my ears hurt. Teamspeak lit up with shouts and yells and I can honestly say that that was the *best* experience that I have had in WoW so far. So, gratz guys. Lets move on to Majordomo and Raggie now. BWL is not far away. :) P. |
