Broodlord Down!
Monday, 12 June 2006 12:31

O... M... G...!

The Garrison continue to charge through Blackwing Lair!

Last night, on our fifth visit to BWL, we hit Razergore on our third try (with Ulloh as our Orb Controller learning the ropes for the very first time).

We then proceeded to smash through Vaelastraz on our fifth? attempt.

Then, we hit the Death Talon packs like a warm knife through melted butter and onto the Suppression Rooms.

Having been forewarned about them, (and having one failed attempt last week) we were prepared to run the gauntlet a few times to get the hang of them.

Well, that turned out to be false!  We charged through the Suppression Rooms, with many comments about "how much use the UBRS zergs were.." and finally stood face to face with the Broodlord.

Well.. kinda.  We actually "accidentally" pulled the Broodlord a little early.  Among many screams of "Oh SHIT.." and "Who pulled??" and "OMG!  do we have a Soulstone!!" we panicked for about 5 seconds.

Then an air of calmness hit Teamspeak as someone announced: "Mace has aggro.. lets take him..."

The tanks charged in, the healers switched over very fast and the rest of the group finished up with the whelps.  We then pointed our sharp pointy things at Broodlord and proceeded to down him with relative ease.

Congratulations to everyone in the group - an amazing recovery from a "bad pull".  I think particular congratulations to Mace for picking up the boss so quickly, and to the healers for switching their roles so fast.  Also a particular mention for Renegade who immediately took up residence next to the trap by the main group and kept it disarmed for the duration of the fight, (while taking out the stray whelps pulled by the knockbacked rogues)

Another Garrison Victory!

Thanks to all of you for insisting that I take the head first.  I think its actually some sort of ruse to get me over in Silithus to start grinding and out of the way of everyone.. :S

As always, the DKP details are here

Vaelestraz Down!
Monday, 29 May 2006 00:00

Vaelestraz down!

Well, in Garrison Style, we came, we saw and we kicked his ass!

Vaelestraz, or more commonly known as "Guild Breaker Vaelestraz" is down to the amazing force of The Garrison.  On only our second real visit to him, we managed to get the tactics down and kicked him out of BWL!

Loot can be found here

Thanks to everyone who came along for the wipe-fest.  I certainly didn't expect to see him go down!

On to the Lootlord!

Our first Onyxia roster for this wednesday is now online. You can find it in the Main Menu panel on the left.

If you have been rostered, but cannot make it, please let me know as soon as possible, so we can inform the reserves in advance. If you think I have screwed something up (very likely), then throw me a PM or /w.

Razergore Down
Tuesday, 16 May 2006 11:11

Well, we finally did it.

After many months of wiping, learning the strateg.. err.. hang on.

HELL NO!

In true Garrison fashion; we came,  we wiped, we wiped again and again, then we PWNZORED Razergore's ass!

On our first visit into Blackwing Lair, we wiped 8 times and then finally put Razergore down.  Congratulations to all those raiders that made the evening what it was.  It was hard work for all of us (apart from me, who just stood up there next to Mace and watched you all ;)) but we finally managed to pick up the strategy perfectly.

Next stop Vaelestraz!

Garrison Meet Ragnaros
Tuesday, 21 February 2006 11:25

Well, the day has finally come!

The Old Garrison manage to get Majordomo to submit, and he leads them to the lair of his master, Ragnaros.

Full of anticipation, we headed over and summoned him.

First impressions - He's bloody huge!
