Fankriss the Unyielding down!
Written by Protozen

Before we get to that i have two tips, one you can not soul stone after a wipe it will put the whole tunnel of bugs.  The second tip is applicable if you are a rogue or maybe a hunter and along with everyone except the soul stoned priest you have run back to the start of the tunnel.  When the priest starts laughing and the rest of the raid start to run toward the exit, hit sprint and let it toward fankriss when you arive at the other end vanish.  All that remains is to play benny hill music and laugh at the rest of the raid who chances are ..will not escape.

The fight....

"Easy this one.. just like AQ20 without sand traps....oh your not afraid of spiders are you?"

"ofc not..... that would be silly, i'm only afraid of snakes?"

"Hmm ...i see"

If you are not touching the snake quickly the whole thing is gonna get out of hand. (Given this advice our 40 adults are back to the sniggering).  But thats it, tank spiders at the entry points, kill snakes as top priority... if you get bored kill the boss.

Yield oh unyielding one.  Oh you did

Battleguard Sartura down!

Four fairies turned bad and they keep turning.  While they turn they cant seem to stop murdering poor innocent rogues who are gently patting the fairies on the back.  I'm sure the tool tip said Perdition's gentle patting stick.

No, now i remember the rogues were clubbing, stunning (well they usually are) and genearly pwning those nasty little things all over the shop.  Ok the other classes may have helped.

The secret to this one is to keep everything a bit spread out, i say secret because the adds didnt seem to know anything about this.  Once they are down its easy mode, stand in a big circle, watch out for the whirlwind, let a tank try to keep some kind of order on the chaos then tell him at the end of the fight its untankable and claim credit for the imba dps.

Nefarian Down!
Wednesday, 16 August 2006 10:48

We came.

We saw.

We kicked his ass.

Nefarian down to The Garrison!  On our second visit to his balcony, we came and we conquered.  Taking down Blue and Bronze dragonkin in Phase 1, suffering through the class calls in Phase 2, then holding DPS at 21% for a "good" class call (hunter FTW!) then taking out the constructs in a mass of AoE and then slowly and calmly taking him down to 0%.

We took down Razergore on 16th May 2006.  Now, a mere 3 months later, the whole of BWL is cleared and we're ready to progress to our next challenge - The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.

Gratz to everyone who participated last night - you guys make me proud to be your Guild Leader.

Well he may look like a sex toy but this fight is more than foreplay.  The added difficult of working around 40 adults who are all sniggering about phalic jokes has become common place.  It goes fairly straight forward as long as the Guild leaders sister isnt watching the tele, in which case the crys of "STOP DPS" have to come over raid assist.  If your not careful things can get "blinking" tricky (see what i did there)

Any way the dildo is down, bit of a razorgore and can turn bad suddenly but now we can get inside where the fun is.  Not to mention the absolutely huge crits the dps can apply to the squishes when mind controlled....... sry wilbor.

Firemaw Down
Monday, 19 June 2006 09:55

Well, what can I say?

Razergore down second time

Vaelastraz down second try

Suppression rooms cleared first time (one unfortunate wipe during, but luckily managed to res the raid in an alcove!)

Broodlord down first try

And now...  onto the Main event..  FIREMAW DOWN!  (on the, uhh.. well.. probably about the 10th try!)

Yepp.. The Garrison came, we saw, we conquered again. :)

An absolutely stunning performance by the whole raid.  We had several tries on Firemaw, adjusting our strategies to get it exactly right.. and get it right we did.  Once we decided on the best MT/OT positions, and the various LOS issues for our healers, it was a simple twin-tank DPS fight.

Even funnier was the pull after Firemaw, where Mace wondered how he was doing almost 600DPS on the raid around him!

Next week, we intend to get all the Drakes down.  Watch this space.
